Seeking Safe Haven: LGBT+ Refugees face Major Challenges

Moud Goba fled Zimbabwe two decades ago after years of harassment for being a lesbian. She is now a national manager at Micro Rainbow, a charity that helps LGBT + refugees find safe shelter in the UK. LGBT+ refugees and asylum seekers face higher risks of homo- and trans-phobic violence from both their host country and other displaced people, as well as challenges in receiving suitable housing, healthcare and other support services.
