Thirteen hospitals across Mayo Clinic have received star ratings from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for Overall Hospital Quality.
Six of the 13 hospitals earned five stars — the highest score possible. The national average is three of five stars.

- Mayo Clinic Hospital in Florida ranked No. 1 among 79 large, specialized complex care medical centers.
- Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing, Minnesota, ranked No. 2 among 95 community hospitals. This was the fourth consecutive year that Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing was in the top three.

The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program
The American College of Surgeons' National Surgical Quality Improvement Program has recognized Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Mayo Clinic Hospital in Florida and Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin as three of 89 participating hospitals that have achieved meritorious outcomes for surgical patient care. As a participant in the program, Mayo tracks the outcomes of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures to direct quality improvement efforts.
